The prices of pulses and sugar have decreased in the Colombo-Purakottai wholesale market. Accordingly, the price of one kilogram of dal has been reduced by Rs 25 from Rs 400 last week. According to this, dal has decreased to Rs 375, said the Importers of Essential Foods Association.
At the same time, the price of one kilogram of white sugar, which was sold at Rs 250, has been reduced by Rs 15.
Accordingly, a kilogram of white sugar is being sold at a wholesale price of Rs 235, the association said.
